As one of the most renewed italian artist across the world, Chiara Dynys disregards every concept of style and school, to freely express her view of the world we live in, speaking through the language of art. Ever since she started her artistic career in the late ‘80, her work has followed two main currents, both motivated by a single underlying outlook with regards to reality: to identify in the world, as well as in every form, the presence and the meaning of that anomaly, that variant, that ”threshold“ which allows the mind to travel from human reality to an almost metaphysical scenario. In order to do this, she uses seemingly eclectic materials, from glass, resins, mirrors, ceramics, metal castings, fabrics, but also video and photography, and most of all, the light, used as a tool forexperimentation. Her works appear in search of space to be conquered, constantly referring to the science of language, focusing on the rituals of our society. Chiara Dynys work has been featured in solo as well as group exhibitions in many important museums and cultural spaces, throughout Italy and Europe. Chiara Dynys work is part of several private and public collections, like: Civiche Raccolte d’Arte, Milano; MART, Rovereto; VAF-Stiftung, Francoforte; UBS bank, Milan, Manno and Zurich; Intesa San Paolo bank, Milan; Museo Cantonale, Lugano; Kunstasammlung, Weimar; Atel Energia, Milan; ZKM, Karlsruhe; Collezione Panza, Varese; Accademia di Architettura - Casa dello Studente, Mendrisio; Terna Energia, Rome; Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Foligno; Mobimo AG, Zurich; RoccoGuglielmo Foundation, Catanzaro; Poldi Pezzoli Museum, Milan; GNAM- Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna permanent collection, Rome.
